Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need to register in order to post an ad ?

No. You only need an account if you want to be contacted through this site.


2. How does the Message System work?

Even if you don't have an account, you can send messages to the registered users who indicated that they can be contacted. On the page displaying the ad, to the bottom, there's a box for the message and a "Send" button.

If you register, you can access your mailbox (go to "My Account" -> "Inbox"). There you can read your messages and reply to senders.


3. How long will an ad stay ?

In principle, 2 months. We will provide soon a feature allowing users to extend their ads.


4. How can I post an ad to all the US states and/or Canada provinces with just one click?

On the Post page there are 2 options: "Local ad" and "Wide area ad".

The first option allows publishing regular ads, where the poster state/province, city and postal code are required fields.

The second option allows choosing where you want your ad to be seen: "All of US", "All of Canada", or any combination of states and provinces.

Please note that the viewers can exclude the non-local ads from their search results (see the checkbox "Local ads only" on the Home page).


5. Why don't you ask for email addresses ?

Why should we ? There's nothing we'd really need your email address for. You are probably aware that Internet marketers buy email addresses, and that spam accounts for a huge (and growing) percentage of the e-mail traffic. Rest assured that you can't possibly ever get spam from us.
